Mirela Nemțanu is the CEO of HOSPICE Casa Sperantei, the largest foundation in Romania offering palliative care for the patients suffering from incurable diseases (more information about the foundation’s activity are available on www.hospice.ro). The foundation is a member of Hospices of Hope, United Kingdom, being able to offer in its 26 years of existence in Romania free palliative care services for more than 22.000 patients facing incurable diseases, adults and children, and their families.
Mirela has an experience of almost 20 years in the field of marketing, communication and CSR, achieved by working at L’Oreal’s Romania (as Corporate Communication, Public Affairs, Scientific &Regulatory Affairs Manager and Board member of the company), RTC Holding (where she held the position of RTC Foundations’ Managing Director & President, and also Marketing & Communication Manager for three of the groups’ divisions), and TNT Express (where she was a part of the team for almost 9 years, and in her position of Marketing Manager she was also responsible for managing the company’s CSR activities).
Since 2003, she has committed herself in an active and voluntary manner to support the CSR projects of the companies or partner organizationswhich she was part of. She was included in the evaluation team and different committees for the foundations she volunteers for ‒ Allocation Committee, Strategy Committee etc.
Since 2012 she is part of the Advisory Board “Marketing: Business & Academics”, Faculty of Marketing, Academy of Economic Studies; since 2016 she is member of the Advisory Board of the Academy of Economic Studies, Bucharest and in this moment she is member of different associations dedicated to women right & science support.
She graduated the Faculty of Marketing of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, obtaining a bachelor’s and a master’s degree, as well as the National School of Political and Administrative Studies, the specialization Communication and Public Relations. She started her MBA studies being supported by CODECS and Open University, having already obtained the Professional Certificate in Management. Currently, she is a PhD candidate in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility and student for an eMBA programme.
